Loved this experience. Had a really awesome dive instructor who made me feel comfortable and confident. Did a course with Daniel. Genuinely couldn't imagine a better person to take you through the weekend. Casual, informative, funny, and engaging. I had a great weekend learning to Scuba Dive at Pro Dive Brookvale. Both instructors Apo and Matt we're great. I was in Matts group and felt very safe the whole time, he helped everyone to feel comfortable under the water. It was disappointing that our second dive had to be cancelled on the Saturday afternoon due to blue bottles in the water. We then did 3 shorter dives on Sunday morning however I felt we had less opportunity to see as much marine life as if we had done the 4 full dives. Matt and Daniel were instructors for the group I was in. Very experienced, knowledgeable and professional. I was very apprehensive about diving at first but the staff all made the experience amazing and I felt completely safe and comfortable throughout the whole experience. Overall, I found the class was too fast for my comfort. I didn't like the fact that I was required to mask clear at the bottom of the pool. I think this should have been done in shallow water first, then proceeded to do these skills in deeper water which is that I had been told by others to expect who have done similar courses. I am not criticising the instructor, but rather the class process was too fast and I did not feel comfortable. I had to withdraw as a result of these issues. by Laura Tate - 26-May-2023

Apo was amazing, he was very friendly and made us laugh! His advice was very helpful during theory, his drawings were not that bad! Will was my instructor, he was very patient when I could grasp a skill, he helped me a lot! His demonstrations underwater were very good and slow. I would suggest telling other students to spit into their mask and wash with the water to see the demonstration more clearly. I think Will should wait for his students before heading into the water to make sure they are all set to go. Daniel was also very friendly and felt comfortable asking questions. I had a good experience, there were times I felt I couldn’t do it and Will and Apo used great encouragement to keep me motivated. Great BBQ at the end!
