Dive sites are a guide to where we plan to go and aren’t guaranteed. If conditions rule a site out, the skipper chooses the next best site. There’s no refund if we can’t reach the planned site. Prices are per person and can vary by date and option.

We aim to stick to the scheduled site, but conditions sometimes force a change. If so, we'll tell you the day before or by 7 am on the morning of your dive.

Iconic NSW species live here year-round. The blue-ringed octopus is a rare but thrilling sight — keep your distance!
Requirements
Certification
- Open Water Diver or higher, with any internationally recognised training agency.
- Bring proof of certification to the dive site.
How long since your last dive
- Up to 5 years: an Open Water certification is enough.
- 6 to 8 years: at least 8 logged dives.
- 8 to 10 years: at least 10 logged dives.
- 10 to 15 years: at least 20 logged dives.
- More than 15 years, or no dives since you certified: ask us about a longer programme with a full skills review in the pool and two ocean dives.
Medical
- You must be medically fit to dive. Read the dive medical questionnaire before you book.
Dive training starts with the standard recreational diver medical questionnaire, the same wherever you train. What it involves, and when you need a doctor.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a refresher?
If you haven't dived for a while, want a confidence boost, or are about to start a course or go on a dive holiday, yes. Dive operators like to see a recent dive in your logbook.
I haven't dived for more than 15 years. Can I still do this?
Ask us first. For long breaks, or if you haven't dived since you certified, we run a longer programme with a full skills review in the pool and two ocean dives.
Where is the dive?
At the dive site of the day, usually Shelly Beach. If conditions force a change, we let you know the day before or by 7 am on the day.
Is gear included?
Yes. Full scuba gear hire is included.
