My friend/ partner is a non diver who would like to come out for a harbour cruise or snorkel, is this possible?

How big is the boat Sealife V and what facilities are on board?

Our vessel has:

  • A 13m/43ft Stebber hull.
  • Twin 321kw Cummins engines, cruise up to 25 knots. This makes us the fastest dive vessel in Sydney which means less travel time and longer bottom time for you!
  • A toilet.
  • Hot showers to rinse after a dive.
  • A galley where you will be served hot & cold finger food and soup between dives.
  • An oxygen unit.
What will be the maximum depths I will be diving?
Open water Certification instructs to depths of 18m.  Junior Open water Certification instructs to 12m

Travel

Where does the vessel Sealife V pickup from and how may I access these pickup points?
We have two pickup points north and south of the harbor.
On the south side we pickup at Rose Bay Wharf which is located inside Lyne Park found along New South Head Road at Rose Bay (approx 20min drive from City centre) and can be reached by the Rose Bay ferry, from Circular Quay, or by the Watson's Bay bus route, numbers 324 & 325, which also departs Circular Quay.
See here for ferry timetables
See here for times of the 324 & 325 bus routes (intermittently, the 323 can be used).
Journeys to Rose Bay can take 10 to 15 minutes by ferry; 45 minutes by bus (bus travel can be traffic dependent - please provide enough time for traffic delays!).
Taxis are also an option for travellers from Sydney's CBD - a taxi trip to Rose Bay may cost as much as AU$40.
Parking at Rose Bay is available - unlimited parking may be found directly out the front of the Lyne Park public amenities block (west side); all other parking zones within Lyne Park are 1hr - it is recommended that dive customers driving to Lyne Park, Rose Bay, use the 4 hr zones found intermittently along the adjacent main road, New South Head Road.
On the north side of the harbour we pick up at Manly Yacht Club, a short walk from Manly Ferry Terminus. Facing back towards Sydney on this terminus, you'll observe a pathway on your left leading around to the Yacht Club jetty - one of the small finger wharves jutting from the shore.
