Medical

English

  • The online theory is available in several languages. All training with your instructor is in English, so you need to be comfortable in it. Other students can't translate for you.

Frequently asked questions

Why dive on nitrox?

Enriched air has more oxygen and less nitrogen than ordinary air, so you get more no-decompression time, especially on repeat dives in the same day.

What does the course cover?

Using nitrox with 22% to 40% oxygen; planning dives with a nitrox dive computer or dive-planning software; working out the maximum operating depth of a mix; oxygen exposure limits and the signs of oxygen toxicity; handling high-oxygen gas; and analysing and labelling a cylinder.

Do I have to dive to get certified?

No. The course is online training plus a session at the shop. You can add a double boat dive on nitrox 32% if you want to use it straight away.

Can I combine it with the Advanced course?

Yes. You can add Nitrox as an upgrade when you book the Advanced Open Water course.
