About Silverswift
Silverswift is a modern luxury vessel specially designed for diving and snorkel day trips on the Great Barrier Reef. Design and practical dive / snorkel facilities include a semi submerged aft platform for easy water access. Cruising at 32 knots and delivering two comfortable levels of seating, this vessel is a passengers dream for their once in a lifetime Reef adventure.
About the Trip
Your Outer Great Barrier Reef adventure will begin with an (optional) early morning transfer from your accommodation to the boat. Once checked in you'll board the luxury Silverswift Catamaran. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be served until departure. Once underway detailed certified and introductory dive briefings are given. After a quick trip from Cairns- only 60 minutes (the fastest in Cairns)- look forward to visiting 3 sites at the Outer Barrier Reef and spending a leisurely 5 hours at play. Certified divers can enjoy up to 3 dives, with introductory divers able to do a second dive. Adventure snorkellers can explore spectacular coral formations and underwater gardens awash with vibrantly coloured marine creatures.Onboard, your crew will encourage you to relax and enjoy the comfort of Silverswift with its full bar facilities, fresh water showers, airconditioning and a delicious hot and cold lunch for hungry adventurers.There's morning and afternoon tea as well and the spacious deck areas are just ideal for sharing a cold drink and tales of your adventure. By 3pm the Silverswift cruises back to Cairns in time for a 4.30pm departure. Before each dive you will be given a thorough dive briefing. All dives on Silverswift are guided by the professional staff to maximise your dive experience.
Snorkellers
Snorkellers joining this itinerary are well looked after. Gear hire for snorkellers includes mask, fins and snorkel. When in the water you will have the use of pool noodles and flotation devices also. You will be shown around the reef by Silverswift's professional Reef guide, informing you of all the coral and marine life during your interactive expedition over shallow reef formations. Up to 2 Discover Scuba Dives are available for snorkellers
Before each dive you will be given a thorough dive briefing. All dives on Silverswift are guided by the professional staff to maximise your dive experience.
Planning your travel arrangements
You will need to be in Cairns the night before departure.
Hotel Transfers
Email info@prodive.com up to 48hrs prior to departure to advise your Hotel Accomodation, we will then organise a transfer for you. There is an additional charge.
Fit to Dive
Please take time to review the Waiver Release and Fit to Dive requirements.

Don’t forget to bring your Dive Certification which must be presented at check- in.
What to bring on board
You will need to bring your own towels. If you are not sure of your sea legs, we strongly recommend that you take motion sickness tablets on the trip. Kwells and Travel Calm are suitable to use when diving.
Flying After Diving
We recommend you give yourself a 24 hour surface interval after your last dive before flying.
Reef Taxes and Levies
There is an additional fee which includes Government Management Charge, as well as a Port Departure Tax and administration costs. Payable direct at the end of the trip.
Cancellation Policy
$25.00 cancellation fee will apply when cancelled up to 24hrs prior to departure. Cancellations within 24hrs non refundable unless advise received from Quicksilver.

From 7.30am Check-in at the Silverswift Counter inside the Reef Fleet Terminal for your boarding passes.
08.15 am:Coaches arrive at the Marlin Wharf and passengers board Silverswift. Tea, coffee and biscuits served until departure
08.30 am: Depart Marlin Wharf for the trip to the Outer Barrier Reef. On the way, detailed certified and introductory dive briefings are given
9.50 am:Arrive at the first site. Divers gear up, while snorkellers listen to a site briefing by the snorkelling advisor. Get ready to view the beauty of this natural wonder!
11.15 am: Silverswift departs for second reef location. Option for introductory divers and certified divers to do their second dive. Snorkellers are once again briefed as to the best areas to snorkel.
12.30 pm: After the water activities, enjoy a tropical hot and cold lunch [included in the fare] served in the air conditioned cabin. The lunch includes fresh prawns, pasta, meats, salads and fruit. There are bar facilities available where you can purchase drinks.
1.40 pm:Silverswift departs for third reef location. Snorkellers are once again briefed as to the best areas to snorkel. Option for introductory divers and certified divers to do their third dive.
2.15 pm: Afternoon tea is served.
2.45 PM: All passengers to board vessel for count
3.00 pm: Silverswift commences return to Cairns
4:30 PM Silverswift arrives at Cairns
4:40 PM Coaches depart for accommodation
DIVE MEDICAL QUESTIONNAIRE
The purpose of this Medical Questionnaire is to find out if you should be examined by a physician before participating in recreational diving. A positive response to a question does not necessarily disqualify you from diving. A positive response means there is a pre-existing condition that may affect your safety while diving and you must seek the advice of a physician. Please answer the following questions on your past and present with a YES or NO. If you are not sure, answer YES. If any of these items apply to you, we must request that you consult with a physician prior to participating in scuba diving. Your instructor will supply you with a PADI Medical Statement and Guidelines for Recreational Scuba Diver’s Physical Examination to take to a physician.
