Diving and Flying

It is important that you are aware if you plan to fly the day after you complete an open water course that you have at least 18 to 24hrs between your last dive and the flight.  For further explanation please email us at info@prodive.com

 

Itinerary


Your ELearning must be completed online prior to the course commencement. Please allow approximately 2-3 Hours is required to complete ELearning

Day 1    08.00am to 5.30pm -  Course introduction and paperwork followed by pool session

Day 2     08.00am to 5.30pm - (Theory Review, Exam and Gear Orientation) and Ocean Dives 1 & 2

Requirements


Your ELearning must be completed online prior to the course commencement. Please allow approximately 2-3 Hours is required to complete ELearning

 Swimming

  • You need to complete a 200 metre swim (unassisted and continous) and Treadwater for 10 minutes test . If you are unable to complete this test on the course, then you will not be able to continue.

Fitness to Dive

What you need to bring

  • You need to bring sunscreen, Swimming costume/bathing suit and a towel, some lunch or pocket money to buy some lunch.

Students under the age of 18 years

  • All students under 18 years of age will be required their parent/guardian to come into the dive centre prior to the course watch a video and sign parent or guardian consent form
  • Children 15 years or older, though not necessarily needing a dive medical, will still need a parent or guardian to sign their medical questionnaire.

You will have use of all equipment whilst on course including

  • Snorkelling gear, wetsuit, buoyancy vest, regulator with alternate air source, dive computer, tanks, weights and belt are included.
