Frequently asked questions

What does nitrox do for me?

Enriched air nitrox has more oxygen and less nitrogen than air, which gives you more no-decompression time, especially on repeat dives.

What will I learn?

To dive with nitrox mixes from 22% to 40% oxygen; to plan dives with a nitrox dive computer or dive planning software; to calculate the maximum operating depth of a mix; to track oxygen exposure and recognise the signs of oxygen toxicity; the hazards of handling high-oxygen gas; and to analyse and label a nitrox cylinder.

Do I have to do dives?

No. The course is the online theory and a classroom session. You can book it with a double boat dive on 32% nitrox if you want to use it straight away.

Can I add Nitrox to my Advanced course?

Yes. You can add Nitrox certification when you book the Advanced course.

Is the certification recognised overseas?

Yes. Your certification is issued by International Scuba Certification and is recognised worldwide.
