A liveaboard through the most biodiverse reefs on earth. Eight nights aboard Malaillo through Central Raja Ampat: Dampier Strait, Wayag, Kawe, Wofoh and Penemu. Reef and oceanic mantas, wobbegongs, reef sharks, turtles, walls of fish and macro life that rewards a slow eye, over some of the richest hard and soft coral cover anywhere.

How the trip runs

  1. Days 1–2Dampier Strait

    Embark near Friwin Island, then Cape Kri and Yenbuba, plus a night dive under Yenbuba Jetty, where epaulette sharks come out.

  2. Days 3–4Wayag

    A morning hike to Raja Ampat’s signature karst panorama, then Bra Rock, Batu Wayag and macro-rich night diving in Teluk Wayag.

  3. Days 5–6Kawe and Wofoh

    Manta and pelagic encounters on current-swept Black Rock and Eagle Rock; coral ridges at Edy’s Black Forest and Red Patch Wall.

  4. Day 7Penemu and Piaynemo

    My Reef and Melissa’s Garden, a drift through Keruo Channel, the Piaynemo viewpoint trek, then a night dive at Galaxy.

  5. Day 8Back to Dampier

    Sardine’s Reef and Mioskon to finish, then a beach break on Mioskon Island.

Experience

  • At least 20 logged dives
  • Advanced certification preferred: there are current-swept sites and drifts
  • Dived in the last 12 months
