About Pro Dive's Introductory Scuba Dive
A fantastic 3hr experience which will introduce you to the magnificent underwater world of Lord Howe Island. Spend 15 to 20 minutes learning a little bit about scuba diving and the equipment, then your instructor will slowly introduce you to the calm clear waters of the lagoon, where you will take your first magical breaths underwater. Once you feel comfortable in the shallows we will slowly move into deeper water to explore some more...What a Buzz! This programme does not allow you to dive independently on completion.

The Refresher Dive offers the already certified diver the perfect activity to get back into diving. At the same time, find out why Lord Howe Island is regarded as one of the foremost dive locations in the world. This course includes - theory review and in the water skills circuit.

Start with Theory Review and then into the lagoon. You will learn or review basic skills.
What will you see
Lord Howe is at the crossroads of many currents resulting in a melting pot of tropical species and southern pelagics. A local census puts the number of fish species at 590 and different corals at 94.

What else do you need to know?
Fitness to Dive
Please take time to review the Dive Medical Requirements and Fitness to Dive information.
You will need to be able to swim 200 metres and tread water for 10 minutes.

If you are under the age of 18, or 45 years and older you will need to get a Dive Medical regardless if you have any medical conditions or not.
You must complete an Australian Standards dive medical 4005.1 before arriving on the island for this course.
You will have use of all equipment whilst on course including
Snorkelling gear, wetsuit, buoyancy vest, regulator with alternate air source, botton timers, tanks, weights and belt are included.
What you need to bring
You need to bring sunscreen, swimmers and a towel.
Minimum age to participate
The minimum age is 12 years. All students under 18 years of age will be required to provide signed parent or guardian consent form. This form is available at the Dive Centre. Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by a parent or adult over the age of 18.
