About the Trip
Each day Tusa's T6 takes divers and snorkellers to the most spectacular sites for the maximum number of hours on the Outer Great Barrier Reef. You'll leave the crowds behind you as you cruise at twenty knots and reach the Outer Great Barrier Reef, within 90 minutes from Cairns. You'll be only one of a handful of dive enthusiasts aboard one of Tusa's large comfortable dive vessels. Throughout the day you will visit two magnificent sites chosen as the days best from Tusa Dive's range of 16 unique sites on a series of 4 coral reefs. At any one site you may explore vast coral gardens, walls drop-offs, caverns and isolated pinnacles with an array of colourful marine life. On board T6 you will enjoy morning and afternoon tea, as well as a spectacular buffet lunch. The vessel offers state of the art facilities, designed purely with diving the Great Barrier Reef in mind. By 3pm the T6 cruises back to Cairns in time for a 4.30pm departure.
Snorkellers joining this itinerary are well looked after. Gear hire for snorkellers includes mask, fins and snorkel. Snorkellers are also offered a complimentary reef tour with one of our dive professionals. Discover Scuba Dives are also available on this trip. These Introductory Dive Course offers anyone the opportunity to try scuba diving. At the beginning of the first dive you will be shown and asked to practice basic skills - these are the first skills all divers do on the Open water Course. Time to check out the marine life - you will then continue the dive under the supervision of your dive instructor. Both Snorkellers and Divers have the opportunity to attend a free reef talk and presentation onboard, and learn about the weird and wonderful organisms you'll be seeing on the reef.
With thorough dive briefings, the option to have your dive guided by one of our dive professionals, as well as friendly and helpful crew on board, you're sure to have a fun, safe and memorable day on the reef.
