Advanced Course

Diving experience

• Must have dived with 12 months
  • If you haven't dived in a while, please contact us for a scuba refresher before joining our advanced course!
• Must be open water certified by a reconised agency

Online training

• One online module plus one online final exam completed before your course starts

Photo for certification

• Upload a photo (headshot) to your online training profile.

Fitness to Dive

• You must review Dive Medical Requirements and Fitness to Dive information prior to the commencement of the course
• Doctors registered to do the Dive Medical - www.spums.org.au
• The instructor always has the final say if a dive medical is required

What you need to bring

• Sunscreen
• Swimwear
• Towel
• Lunch
• Seasickness medication is highly recommended (contact your GP if you are unsure whether you can take it)

Students under the age of 18 years

• The minimum age is 15 years.
• All students under 18 years of age will require consent at the beginning of your course.

Cancellations, transfers or non-attendance

1. If you cancel your course on or within 7 days of the start date, no refund will be given.
2. If you cancel a course with more than 7 days' notice, a refund will be offered, less $100.00. (Admin and online training fee)
3. No refund will be given if you fail to attend your course; rebooking will be at full cost.
4. You may transfer your course to a new date once, free of charge, with more than 7 days' notice. Additional amendments will attract an AUD100 fee per person, per date change.
5. Transfers made between 24hrs and 7 days of the start date will incur a $100 fee. If the new course is of a higher value than the original booking, the difference must also be paid. No exceptions.
6. Any cancellations made within 24hrs of your course start time will result in forfeiting the course, and rebooking will be at full cost.
7. If an emergency medical condition manifests within 24hrs of your course start time, proof must be provided in order to transfer your course at the reduced rate of $100.00. A medical form from a licensed diving practitioner may be required. If the new course is of a higher value than the original booking, the difference must also be paid. No exceptions.
8. If a medical condition manifests outside of 24hrs and temporarily prevents you from completing the course, the above conditions apply. 10. If you have indicated yes to any of the questions on the Dive Medical, one will need to be provided at the time of booking or 7 days before the course start date, stating you are fit to dive unconditionally. Failure to do so will result in forfeiting the course and rebooking at full cost.
11. All verbal instructions are in English only, and you must be proficient in English. No translation services are available or can be used during the course, and other students cannot translate on behalf of the instructors.
12. You may transfer a course to a friend or family member at least 24hrs before the start time for a $100.00 rebooking fee.
13. If you fail to complete the course during the scheduled time, a $100.00 rebooking fee applies for each day required onboard the boat.
14. All fees are per person.

Course requirements

1. Failure to adhere to all of the pre-course requirements found on the course overview page (including completion of any online training) will cancel the course. No refund will be given, and rebooking will be at full cost.
2. All courses must be completed within 90 days of the original start date.
