Pro Dive was established in Sydney in 1969 and has been teaching people to dive for over 40 years. When you complete one of Pro Dive's learn to dive courses, you will become a qualified Open water Diver and your Dive Ticket allows you to dive anywhere in the world. To book onto a course , you need to be able to swim, be at least 12 years of age and before you start a course you will be required to undertake a a Dive medical and for Australia you are required to do the Australian Standards Dive Medical.

From 1 September, 2008 when you do this Pro Dive Full Time Openwater Scuba Diving Course, you will be certified as an SSI Openwater Diver. SSI (Scuba Schools International) is an internationally based Diver Training Agency and like PADI, all certifications issued through SSI are recognized world wide. SSI complies to the Australian Standards and the minimum requirements to join this course have not changed.
