To book onto a course, you need to be able to swim and be at least 12 years of age.  In Queensland, it is a legal requirement that you complete the Australian Standards Dive Medical.  From 1 October, 2010, dive medical rules has changed for the rest of Australia. Please ask about what is now required at your location.

Upgrade Scuba Diver to OWD/ National Geographic OWD

You are already PADI Scuba Diver and now want to achieve certification as a NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC Open Water Diver/ PADI Open Water Diver. The course is presented over 2 to 3 days and consists of theory, one confined water sessions and three/ two open water dives. Knowledge of basic diving theory of chapters 4 and 5 are covered in home studies, by DVD and instructor presentations. Diving skills will be refreshed and newly developed in the pool and on the final day of the course, you complete 3/ 2 training dives under the supervision of your instructor. PADI Open Water Diver & Discover/ Digital U/ W Photography Specialty

This is a full PADI Open Water Diver course with the difference that in addition you will get a theoretical and practical introduction in the Digital Underwater Photography. In dive 4 of your Open Water Diver course you will practise the new photo knowledge also under water. This program covers automatic photography without the use of artificial light. You will learn about the possibilities of a point-and-shoot camera, how to use manual white balance, ISO settings and colour correction filters. After completion of your Open Water Divers course you can also do an additional dive to complete your Digital U/ W Photography Specialty. PADI Open Water Diver/ PADI OWD & Dry Suit Specialty

Pro Dive offers you the chance to learn to dive in Spain. This is the first course available under PADI to achieve certification as an Open Water Diver. It is the pre-requisite course for any further training. Armed with your Open Water Diver card, the diving world is your oyster as the certification will be recognised at dive centers around the globe. You also have the chance to enhance your Open Water Diver experience with the Dry suit specialty. The course is presented over 4 to 5 days and consists of academics, several confined water sessions and four open water dives. Knowledge of basic diving theory is covered by video/ DVD and instructor presentations, diving skills are developed in the pool and on the final 2 days of the course, you complete 4 training dives under the supervision of your instructor.
