About the Trip Your Great Barrier Reef Trip will begin with an early morning transfer from your accommodation to the boat. Once on board, you will settle into your cabin and breakfast is served as you cruise to the outer reef. You can look forward to generous meals and snacks in between dives and as many as 11 dives during this trip. The Boat will move between dive sites during your stay on the reef. On the last day, you can expect to be out of the water and heading back to Cairns by 12.30pm. We are scheduled to have you disembarked back in Cairns by 4.30pm.
Where you will dive/snorkel Just 2.5hrs steaming time east of Cairns, on the Outer Great Barrier Reef, are a series of coral reefs selected by Pro Dive Cairns for their variety of marine life and excellent visibility. There are16 dives sites to dive on, all exclusive to Pro Dive, and which are spread over 4 different reefs.
During the next 3 days, we will showcase the best Cairns Outer Reef Diving. We will visit at least two different reefs sites each day and remember all our sites are suitable not only for divers but snorkellers as well. Water temperatures range from 22°- 28° C/ 71.5- 82.5F
Before each dive you will be given a thorough dive briefing and although we do not offer in water guided dives we have professional dive supervisors providing deck watch at all times.
Snorkellers joining this itineray are well looked after. Gear hire for snorkellers includes wetsuit, mask, fins and snorkel. When in the water you will have the use of pool noodles and flotation devices. When in the water you will be supervised by Pro Dive's professional Dive Deck supervisors. Snorkellers will also try scuba diving whilst out on the reef. The Discover Scuba Dive is a professional programme which allows you to try diving without being a qualified scuba diver. During this cruise, snorkellers will have the opportunity to do several of these dives, there are minimum requirements to participate- see below. Cost is $50.00 per dive.
About our Liveaboards Pro Dive Cairns operates 3 identical liveaboard vessels, Scuba Pro 1,11 & 111. These vessels are 25 metres (80 feet) in length, they are centrally air-conditioned, light and airy. There are 2 large decks, one for scuba diving and snorkel gear and one strictly for sun tanning and relaxing. These vessels are the only purpose built outer reef dive liveaboards operating in the area. There are a total of 16 Cabins which sleep a maximum of two per cabin and 8 bathrooms
There are 2 double and 14 twin (bunk style) cabins with an average of 1 bathroom for every 2 cabins. Single travellers are accommodated in twin berth cabins, sharing with another diver. If you would like a private cabin, a single supplement will apply - select the Inclusions and Exclusions Tab on the top of this page . Double cabins do not appear in live status and you can request a double

What else You need to know
- Minimum diving qualification required to join this cruise is Openwater Diver. Please bring your C Card and log book.
- Snorkellers wishing to participate in the Discover Scuba Dive programme when out on the reef will be required to complete a medical statement. Some medical conditions may prevent you from scuba diving, such as asthma, diabetis, epilepsy, high blood pressure, previous injuries to lung, ear drums or sinuses or you are taking medication for a chronic condition, if you were to tick yes to such conditions unless you have completed a dive medical before going to sea, you would not be able to participate.
Insufficient dive qualifications and/or some medical conditions may prevent you from scuba diving in Australia. Prior to diving you will be asked in writing: "Are you currently suffering any illness or injury that may be incompatible with scuba diving?" If answering 'yes', you will be required to get a written letter from your doctor saying that you are fit to dive. This must be acquired PRIOR to departure
- PADI Advanced Openwater Course is available in conjunction with the cruise. Additional Cost is $155 .
- Availability for double cabins does not appear in live status. If you would like a double, please email us with your preferred travel dates and we will confirm back to you as soon as possible
- If you are planning to leave Cairns the day after you return from sea, please do not plan to fly any earlier than 12 noon on that day.
