Thursday short break on Lizard Island, continue diving this afternoon and then out to Osprey Reef in the Coral Sea, overnight cruise. 2 Full Dive days at Osprey Reef (weather permitting). Mon to Thurs: 2 Dives Monday afternoon and then dive and cruise north along the Ribbon Reefs to Lizard Island, arrive by Wednesday evening.  After breakfast on Thursday morning  disembark and transfer to the airport for one way low level flight from Lizard Island to Cairns.  About this Liveaboard Spirit of Freedom is a purpose built ocean going liveaboard dive boat. Built for passenger comfort which means stabilisers, large cabins all with ensuites, spacious saloon area for dining and relaxing and covered top side deck. Added to this is the level of on board service - chef prepared meals, cabins serviced daily, hot towels after each dive, dive tender in the water on all dives and an  inwater dive supervisor. The Inwater Dive Supervisor will not be in the water on all dives. In addition we offer the following optional extras Full Gear Hire  $245.00 7 Day Nitrox Package $180 PADI Advanced Course  $220 PADI Nitrox Course  $220 About the Dive Sites The Ribbon Reefs are a string of 10 coral ramparts of the GREAT BARRIER REEF stretching southward from the Cod Hole. Coral formations vary from beds of huge plate corals to isolated pinnacles sustaining an amazing display of fish life, to walls and channels for the perfect drift dives as well as caves, canyons and shallow coral gardens. The Cod Hole is located 240 km to the north of Cairns and has become famous for it's family of resident Potato Cod (Groper). Each of these huge fish can weigh up to 100 kg and are well accustomed to posing for diver's cameras.  Osprey Reef lies in the Coral Sea nearly 220kms to the ENE of Lizard Island.  This Coral Sea Reef boasts 100ft (300meters) + viz. and 3000ft (1000 meter) vertical walls.  It is alarge reef system that includes Shark Reef to the south and popular dive site North Horn, renown for shark activity.  Grey Whalers, White Tip Reefies, Silvertip Whalers, seasonal Hammerheads, schools of Barracuda and Dog Tooth Tuna all about here.  Flashlight Fish make for spectacular night diving.   What else you need to know We can offer a choice of cabins: Ocean View Deluxe is our premier cabin and has a full double bed (min 2 to book) Ocean View Standard Cabin has  double bed and Stateroom has Queen size bed (Min 2 to book) 4, Double/Twin standard Cabin have a double bed and single top bunk bed (we accept individual bookings on a share basis (max 2 in cabin unless triple share requested) 1, Standard Cabin Double Bed only and 1 Standard Cabin Twin bed only Quad share cabins caters for up to 4 divers We only have the Double/Twin standard cabin and quad cabins in live status which you can book online and have immediate confirmation.  If you would like to book into either Stateroom, Ocean View Standard or Ocean View Deluxe cabins please contact me pat@prodive.com

Certified Divers please note, if you suffer from a chronic illness or a conditions which could preclude you from diving such as asthma, epilepsy, diabetis, high blood pressure or have recently had surgery, you will need to provide a certificate from your doctor clearing you to dive.

Monday - Monday Mid Day Departure:
Monday morning Accommodation Transfers start 11.00am for 12 noon departure from Cairns.
2 Dives this afternoon.  Tuesday & Wedneday cruise north along the Ribbon Reefs and arrive Lizard Island on Wednesday night, overnight off Lizard.  Thursday morning disembark, vessel prepared to continuing the itinerary out into the Coral Sea.  Reboard, lunch and then continue diving this afternoon.  Overnight night cruise out into the Coral Sea.  2 Full days of diving at Osprey Reef.  Sunday night cruise back to the Ribbon Reefs and then continue diving along the Ribbon Reefs. Finish diving Sunday afternoon by 5.00pm.  Cruise back to Cairns overnight. Monday Morning:  Breakfast and 7.15am disembark . Transfer back to your accommodtion

Itinerary Option #2
Thursday - Thursday  Early Morning Departure:
Thursday transfers start at 7.30am for 8.30am flight from Cairns to Lizard Island.  Boat transfer to Spirit of Freedom. Cruise from Lizard Island and 2 dives at the top of the Ribbons this afternoon. Overnight night cruise out into the Coral Sea.  2 Full days of diving at Osprey Reef.  Sunday night cruise back to the Ribbon Reefs and then continue diving along the Ribbon Reefs. Finish diving Sunday afternoon by 5.00pm.  Cruise back to Cairns overnight. Monday Morning:  Breakfast and 7.15am disembark and have some shore time before reboarding to continue the itinerary. 12 noon departure from Cairns. 2 Dives this afternoon.  Tuesday & Wedneday cruise north along the Ribbon Reefs and arrive Lizard Island on Wednesday night, overnight off Lizard.  Thursday morning disembark after breakfast and you will have time exploring Lizard Island before transfering to Lizard Island airport for one way low level flight back to Cairns.  Arrive back in Cairns by 11.00am and you are then transferred back to your accommodation.
Note Option # 2 Itinerary: has a maximum luggage weight restriction of 20Kg/45lbs.

* Travel to the Coral Sea, and the number of days spent there, is weather dependent.  Should Spirit of Freedom not be able to visit the Coral Sea, alternative great dive sites will be explored on the Ribbon Reefs.

Cancellation Terms & Conditions of Travel
Please ensure you read carefully our terms and conditions for travelling on board Spirit of Freedom.  We require that you return this form, signed by each participant, to your booking agent, when placing your confirmed booking.

Spirit of Freedom Pty Ltd will herewith be referred to as SOF

1. CANCELLATION POLICY

• AU$100 administration fee applies for cancellations with 60 days or more notice
• 20% cancellation fee applies with less than 60 days notice
• 100% fee applies with 21 days or less notice

2. TERMS   
SOF will endeavour to adhere to the scheduled itinerary, but reserve the right to alter the proposed itinerary or cancel the trip in the event of extreme weather conditions.  Trip itineraries are subject to change at the sole discretion of the Master of the Vessel.  In the event that a trip is delayed, or cut short due to weather or medical emergency, fees will not be refunded.  SOF will not be held financially responsible for an alternative trip or accommodation, any inconvenience incurred, or for adverse weather conditions or illness as a result.  Trip fees will not be refunded should you be unable to board in time for the scheduled departure or be unable to complete all available dives. The purchase of travel insurance is highly recommended.

3. EVACUATION INSURANCE
All SOF passengers are required to have a comprehensive accident and evacuation insurance.  Please be aware that scuba diving and in water activities are not covered by most travel insurance.  Proof of diver medivac insurance
must be provided on boarding SOF. Should you not carry your own cover, a comprehensive PADI Evacuation and accident insurance is available for purchase on board from AU$25.

4. MEDICAL STATEMENT
You will be required  to state that you are medically fit to dive when you board SOF.
If you have a medical history of: 

• Asthma
• Epilepsy
• Diabetes
• Heart or Lung disorders
• It is required that you produce a current diving medical certificate, from a diving medical specialist, stating that you are medically fit to scuba dive.

5. LIABILITY WAIVER
A liability waiver will be presented to you when you board SOF.  Your signature is required on the waiver in order to allow participation in scuba diving.

6. MARINE PARK FEES
The Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority collect an Environment Management Charge (EMC) from all persons entering the Marine Park.  This fee assists the ongoing research and preservation of our Great Barrier Reef.  A maximum $15 per person is payable on board.

7. OTHER

• Certified divers must present a valid Certification Card before diving.
• Same gender cabin share isn’t guaranteed.
