Launched on 17 August, 2011, T6 is the newest Boat operating Day Trips to the Outer Reef Special offer for Certified Divers on this Outer Reef Day Trip Book for 3 Guided Dives and Only Pay for 2 Valid to 30 June 2012     Diving the Great Barrier Reef best sites in and around Cairns. In the 2,000 km expanse that is the Great Barrier Reef,  Tusa Dive is the dive tour operator in Cairns who has the most modern fleet of purpose built dive vessels.   Each Day  Tusa's T6 takes divers and snorkellers to the most spectacular sites for the maximum number of hours on the outer great barrier reef. In a day you will visit two magnificent sites chosen as the days best from Tusa Dive's range of 21 moorings. At any one site you may explore vast coral gardens, walls drop-offs, caverns and isolated pinnacles with an array of colourful marine life.     You'll leave the crowds behind you as you cruise at twenty knots and reach the Outer Great Barrier Reef, within 90 minutes from Cairns. You'll be only one of a handful of dive enthusiasts aboard one of Tusa's large comfortable dive vessels.    Tusa 6, is a dedicated dive boat with state of the art navigation and communication equipment, on board compressors, spacious back deck areas and transoms that open onto water level platforms for easy entries and exits.

Itinerary

About the Day

Please make your way to "A Finger" on the Marlin Marina to be there by 7.40am. MV Tusa will depart at 8.00am.

8.00am depart from Cairns Marlin Marina for 90 minute trip to the outer reef.
Morning tea will be served during the trip. 

9.30am You will be at the reef and the fun begins. 
Into the water with the divers and snorkellers. 
If you are on a package including the introductory diveyou will have already completed a theory overview on the trip to the outer reef, and you will quickly be into the water with your professional dive instructor.

Lunchtime and you will enjoy a buffet lunch.  Vegetarians please note you will be catered for
For divers a chance to snorkel between divers. 
During this surface interval the vessel will move to our next site.

For those on the two dive package, you will do your second and last dive for the day.  You can expect to be in the water on each dive site for at least 40 minutes.

Afternoon tea is served on your return trip to Cairns.

3.30pm to 4.00pm and you will be back into Cairns.  Once you have disembarked
you will be transferred back to your accommodations.

Terms and Conditions

Certified Diving
Certified divers are required to produce their Certification Cards upon boarding, and sign paperwork stating they are mentally and physically fit to dive.  The certified diving includes 2 dives in the standard day trip.  The diving is independent in buddy pairs, however guided diving is an available option at additional cost as given on the rate sheet.
Introductory Diving
Before participating in Introductory Diving, individuals are required to complete a medical questionnaire.  A history of asthma, diabetes, or epilepsy, are some of the conditions that may preclude your client from diving.  Clients unable to dive are charged a snorkel rate only. All paperwork and training is provided on board.  A maximum of 4 Introductory divers will accompany one Dive Instructor.
Flying and Diving.
A minimum wait of 12 hours from the last dive before flying or ascending to an altitude of 300 metres of greater is required.   Tusa Dive recommends a safety margin of minimum 24 hours wait where possible.
Child Policy.  
Child  snorkel rates apply for children  aged 4 to 14 inclusive.   Children under the age of 4 travel free of charge.  Children must remain under the supervision of a parent or guardian at all times.  Children  from the age of 12 can dive under certain conditions, however full rate applies.  
Groups/ Tour Escort Policy.
Tusa Dive offer a group policy of 14 + 1, with the fifteenth passenger travelling free of charge.  If the group is taking a mix of diving and snorkelling tours, the FOC seat will be equal in value to the dominant tour booked.
Language Services
Instruction on Tusa Dive day trips and courses is also available in Japanese and German upon request at the time of booking. 
Government Environmental Management Charge.
A Marine Park levy and management fee of $10 per day is charged to all adults and children 4 years and over entering the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.  The charge is not inclusive of the fare, and clients are required to pay this fee upon boarding on the day of travel.
Cancellation Policy - Day Trips. 
100% Cancellation fee applies for cancellations within 24 hours of departure.  Cancellations outside of this time will be fully refunded less merchant fees.  This policy applies for all tours on the Tusa Dive day trip options
