What you will see
When scuba diving in Sydney, you will see some of the most incredible marine life such as the Weedy Sea-dragon, Giant Cuttle fish up to 1.5 meters in length, Grey Nurse Shark, Wobbygong shark, Port Jackson shark, Blue Grouper, Fat Belly Seahorse and fantastic underwater terrain.
Diving Sydney
The scuba diving in Sydney is temperate water diving with an influence of our warmer tropical water to our North. We have a wide variety of marine life including the worlds largest cuttle fish up 1.5 meters in length, Weedy Sea Dragons, the world's largest Seahorse, Blue Groupers, Grey Nurse Sharks, Wobbygong sharks and a host of other marine life. We also offer the most extensive range of dive sites diving the most northern and southern areas of Sydney.
Temps & Vis
Water temperature in Sydney during Summer is between 20-24 degrees, Autumn 19-22 degrees, Winter 15-18 degrees & Spring 15-21 degrees. Visibility is usually around 10-15 metres - it has been as good as 30 metres on many occasions
The boat
Our state-of-the-art 43ft Steber dive boat 'SEALIFE V' offers a outstanding level of service and comfort. 'SEALIFE V' carries a full range of dive equipment to cater for 20 Divers. So if you don't have your own equipment ... no problem! We have taken all the hassle out of organising and transporting your equipment to and from the dive boat ... you just turn up and we fit you out on board! Alternately there is also safe storage for your own gear.
Onboard facilities include twin hot showers, galley, toilet, a massive diving deck, dual ladders, comfortable undercover seating and twin 430hp diesel engines to get you effortlessly to and from the dive sites.
Our Double boat dives are both an economical and enjoyable experience, regardless of the time of the year or weather conditions. Relax on the deck in the summer or jump under the HOT shower after your dive and enjoy the refreshments on board while cruising the GREATEST HARBOUR ON EARTH.
What else do you need to know?
- Openwater Diver is the minimum certification required on most dives. We do nominate the certification level on our boat dive schedule
- PRO DIVE offer a full dive site briefing if you are looking to dive with a buddy, however we do offer an in water dive guide service for those who need it. If you would like to dive with a dive guide, please make a note in the comments field on the booking form.
- We have a full gear hire department on board and we do have hooded vests for hire as well. Hire prescription masks are not available
- We have one camera for hire on board. This can be prebooked for $40
- All dives are weather dependent
